To celebrate community and increase awareness of Chrysler Village’s unique historical legacy, a community day took place in August 2016 in Lawler Park in the heart of Chrysler Village. The community day was a small-scale, neighborhood-centered gathering to build community unity and pride. It served as an opportunity to evaluate community interest in a homeowner’s association and the possibility of hosting a more wide-scale community festival the following summer to celebrate Chrysler Village’s 75th anniversary in 2017.
