Oral History Project

Graduate students at Loyola University Chicago are interviewing current and former residents of Chrysler Village and the surrounding area to learn more about the subdivision’s historic value and what it has meant to the community over the years.

Students began conducting interviews in September 2015 and gathered more in August 2016 as part of the Chrysler Village Community Fest. The interviews will be recorded and stored both on this website and at the Clearing Branch of the Chicago Public Library to be accessed by community members and researchers for years to come.

If you live(d) in Chrysler Village or Clearing and have memories you’d like to share, please contact us here.

Visit our Oral Histories page to see some of the completed interviews.
